Croatia has also once again been highlighted on several top travel lists for 2013 - with Dubrovnik being included on Rough Guides' Top 10 Places to visit in 2013; Hvar as one of the New York Times' 46 Places to Go in 2013; National Geographic Traveler calling Zadar one of Europe's Best Small Ports; Croatia as a whole being one of British Airways' Top 13 Destinations for 2013; and Fodor's picking Istria as one of the Best Places to Visit for Food and Wine in Europe.
Krk (and the Northern Adriatic islands) was also selected as one of the Top 10 Islands in Europe in the Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards, whilst Brela (in the Makarska Riviera) is highlighted by Rough Guides as one of the The Best Beaches in Europe.
